Perfect Imperfection

I find it intriguing how nature in its original and untouched state is uniquely beautiful and perfect. However we all too often fail to see our own exquisite perfection; condemning and altering our own uniqueness if it doesn't fit the conventional or constructed ideal. Imperfection is the authentic perfection of beauty.

How many times I've met someone, saw the imperfection, and then as I came to know them the imperfection would disappear. Love whether it is through friendship or intimacy is like a magic eraser. Holly at lifelaughlatte

I love this! I think about this when I'm sewing. I wonder if my customers realize each item is truly unique...

So absolutely true... Always makes me sad when all someone sees their imperfections and can't get past them. We are all imperfect in some way, but that is the beauty of life.

Amen! Well said.

That was beautifully put. I think we all need a reminder of this periodically in our lives. It's all too easy to concentrate on our imperfections as flaws rather than parts of the whole that makes us the beautiful individual we are.

Thanks for the reminder, today!

(oh, and happy SITS day!!!)

Great words of wisdom. We women are the worst at trying to fit into a mold that society has created. It's such a false image. We need to celebrate just who we are-imperfections and all.

Imagine how boring nature would be if ALL trees were exactly the same... all flowers, all lakes. It would be so unbearably dull. So why do we aspire to a dull sameness?!
